Brutal and Brilliant: two words I’d sum up AJ Frena’s paintings. His work is a violent work of nature; combining human chaos with that of the animal kingdom. This makes his work have plenty of undertones that leave you thinking about later, like my favorite, the littered bird nest.

AJ resides in Texas, but studied illustration in NYC.
