What I love about Mattias’s work is that it brings me back to childhood. I remember looking through picture books like Where’s Waldo? and I Spy and looking through every little detail, trying to find all I could. His work is like that in that there is soo much to see, I’m not sure I get all of it in one look. Detail is seriously this guy’s art. He says of the places he draws, they’re either a place he’s visited, or they’ve created themselves in the corners of his imagination.

Mattias Adolfsson lives in Sweden and has worked with everything from children’s books to a project with Chipotle. In 2014, he won the award for “most beautiful Swedish book,” as well as several other awards for his publications.
