I like to think that there is an alternate universe, and I live there, and it is made by Kaye Blegvad. I wear jewelry, bracelets with hands and hearts, cat rings, and hey why not pierce my ears for the pointy leaf shaped studs. I am definitely drinking from cat cups and am surrounded by girl faced planters like mirkwood forest. I read from magazines that she illustrates, I dream Blegvad dreams and eat Blegvad food, not quite sure what it is but I’m sure it’s delicious. I imagine I am happy, confused, comfortably disturbed and entertained in this universe because that’s how I feel when I look at Kaye’s art. I am probably a woman because I wouldn’t be a dead man. I am giving high-5s to all the ceramic hands, all day, every day.
