Laura Gehring’s work is everything fashion photography should be. It’s simple, powerful and elegant all at the same time. The honesty in here style lets the products speak for themselves, allowing the viewer to relate to the image in a way that a lot of fashion photography doesn’t. Laura’s contemporary style focuses on what fashion and beauty are really about , or at least what they should be about: people. That’s what I love most about her work. Anyone can look at it and know what’s happening but still want to linger on the image, in awe of how wonderful it is. Her photographs find beauty and softness in the human form, celebrating not only women but men and children as well. Laura has a way of keeping us all guessing. She may have a distinct style but she has the ability to translate it into a variety of subjects and emotions. I feel that is the true mark of a great artist. They can make anything their own.

Laura is another photographer I have the pleasure of knowing personally. Her down to earth persona keeps her work honest, even in the most high fashion of subjects.
